The Beale Clinic is a podiatry clinic providing foot and lower limb healthcare. We act as the Data Controller for the personal data we hold about you.

We collect and store personal information needed to provide safe and effective care. This may include: your full name, address, date of birth, contact details, medical history, GP details, appointment records, clinical notes, payment information, and insurance details. 

4. How we store your information

Your information is kept both electronically and on paper. Electronic records are securely stored using Cliniko (a GDPR-compliant system). Paper records are kept in locked storage on clinic premises. Access is limited to authorised staff. Records are retained for a minimum of 8 years (or until a child reaches age 25).

5. How we use your information

We use your personal information to provide treatment, communicate about appointments, maintain records, process payments and insurance claims, and meet legal obligations.

 6. Sharing your information

We only share your information when necessary and appropriate, such as with other healthcare professionals involved in your care, with Cliniko (record system), Clover (card payments), insurance companies (for claims), or where required by law (e.g., safeguarding, court orders). All third parties comply with UK data protection laws.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, or request erasure of your personal information, restrict or object to certain data uses, and request data portability. 8. Data security

We take reasonable steps to protect your data against loss, misuse, unauthorised access, or disclosure. Cliniko and Clover use encryption and secure authentication. Paper files are stored securely when not in use.

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on our website or upon request at the clinic.
